Credit checking

In the event that we need to verify your financial status for due diligence purposes after transaction terms have been agreed with you, and only in those circumstances, we may share your information with Credit Check Services Limited to independently undertake screening or credit checks. This will not go beyond the scope required to fulfil industry standard requirements and records are not held by Credit Check Services Limited beyond a period of three months from our enquiry. Anti-Money Laundering Checks

We are obliged by law to undertake anti-money laundering checks on first contact with vendors and purchasers of commercial property Other types of transactions, those involving landlords and tenants for example, do not currently require this but may do so in the future. Millar Sandy currently use an electronic system provided by SmartCredit Limited, trading as SmartSearch, to verify identities for anti-money laundering purposes.
